At yesterday's city council meeting, Councilman Carlesimo asked Chief Julie
Williams if anyone had been working another job on city time (or words to that
effect). Williams replied affirmatively, stated the individual had been given
permission and that permission had stopped,
I had previously made a public records request specifically about this incident
(incidences) and received a written reply from Chif Julie Williams that there
were no records.
To be clear, we are talking about allegations against Lt. Mike Rose for working
at Mahi Mac Bait Shop, the same Mike Rose who was the lead investigator in what
turned out to be a fit-up job against Officer Michael Frassetti (who the
department accused of destroying electronic records and then lying about it).
I am requesting to review any documents used to investigate Rose for working two
jobs simultaneously, including any original complaint sheet, summary of
investigation, result, sanction, and documents clearing him, etc.
Also, all city employees are required to clear moonlight jobs with the city
first. I would like to review that document as well.
On the extremely rare chance that Williams was talking about a second employee,
I would like to know who that employee is and review all of the same kind of
paperwork surrounding that.
If no paperwork exists, as told to me by email previously, I would like to know
the justification for Williams not looking into the matter, including how much
money was paid to this person while working at his second job.
