Unfortunately for Lang and Martin if they were both meeting with a member of the public to review airport or other plans, they may get a slap from the state - most a small fine - but the negative publicity alone is damning. Shame on them for not walking a closer line, especially after the media circus this week. Can't believe Tacy would throw that bomb without some reason or if he actually saw something. Rumors around town is that this is not the first time and apparently all the charter officers have begged off this battle because it's damning for all council. Don't look for any city staff to jump to anyone's rescue or support here. Why can't they just do the public's business and stop the game playing?
